How is an agent different from a distributor?
An agent sells on your behalf and you contract with the customer. A distributor buys and resells on their own account.
When is commission earned?
Whatever the agreement says — on order, on delivery or on payment. Silence here is a common source of dispute.
Is commission payable after termination?
Only if the agreement provides for it. It should be addressed expressly either way.
